I have a standard 07 plate Zetec which recently failed MOT on these

1.Rear fog lamp not working

2.Rear fog lamp tell tale missing

Can anyone please help me with num 2 as im very confused with that thanks

Took from another forum so might help,so It must be the fog light indicator on the dash is not working ????


The rear fog light "tell tail" is a light on the dashboard or switch, that idicates that the rear fog light is on.the location of the switch isnt important as long as the rear fog lamp can be switched on and off whilst the headlamps and side lights are on.

The "tell tail" light has to work with the fog light on/off operation...only front fog lights can work in conjuction with the same switch, but both may get their power from the main running lights....hope this helps

is ur fog light unit missing completely??

The tell tales may be in the form of a coloured tag or switch

surely if the fog light don't work and nor does the dashboard indicator for the fog lamp,it could be just a fuse.if only one was working and not the other then id say more serious.just an idea
